Each year, the Meridian Downtown Association honors our hardest working member with crowning
him or her as "Midas" for the Mardi Gras Season. This Association member in not a member of our board.
"Midas" is just a very hard working person, who realizes the value of bringing businesses and families back into
our downtown area. Midas will be crowned in Dumont Plaza at 12:00pm on the 9th of January with his/her loyal subjects
in attendance. Our thanks goes out to our past Midas. The Meridian Downtown Association could honestly not accomplish
all that we do during the year without your dedication to our businesses and the people of Lauderdale County.
