Gumbo Cookoff
Need I Say More?
MMMmmmmmmmmmmm. The smell of delicious gumbo.  Each year, our Krewe's break out the seasoned black kettles and grandma's recipe to compete in the gumbo cook-off.
Each Krewe has to cook 5 gallons of fresh gumbo to be given to the judges and the tasters. The judges consist of five
local media celebrities and fifty lucky locals. The winners of the Gumbo Cook-off will receive a trophy and bragging
rights in East Mississippi and West Alabama (also known as the "Universe" before the night and the brews are
finished). In addition to cooking up some awesome gumbo, we sit around with our Krewe and think of ways to sabotage
the other Krewe's recipe and just in general, have a great kicked back time.
