First State Bank is proud to announce an addition to the Krewe of Kids.  "This year we are adding a Hip Hop Dance Contest" said Sherry White at First State Bank.  11:30 Kicks off the Krewe of Krazy Kids Parade in Downtown Meridian.  The Krewe will line up in the back parking lot of Wrangler Furniture (4th Street).  The parade will begin on the the corner of 23rd Avenue and Front Street and will proceed to 22nd Avenue.  The Krewe of Krazy Kids will ride, scoot or walk by the reviewing stand where judges will grade them on their costumes.  Each Hip Hop dance group will be allowed three minutes to impress the crowd.  After passing the stand, the parade will proceed to the corner of 7th Street and 22nd Avenue.  The King and Queen of the Krewe of Krazy Kids will be crowned in Dumont Plaza immediately following the parade.  The first place winner of the Hip Hop Dance Contest will win a $300.00 cash prize and trophy, the second place winner will win a $150.00 cash prize and trophy and the third place winner will receive a $75.00 cash prize and trophy.  If you miss the Krewe of Kids Parade, you can see the King and Queen from the Krewe of Krazy Kids at the Krewe of Midas Parade in the "Royal Court" float.  For more information about the Krewe of Krazy Kids, contact Sherry White at First State Bank 601-693-6404
