Merry Meridian 2011 Participation Contract
In order to participate in Merry Meridian 2011, all event coordinators agree to the following
guidelines.
OCTOBER. Attend the initial Merry Meridian meeting.
The purpose of this meeting is to coordinate events and plan/set the date for the press conference. Provide
a description of your event(s) and photo(s), via email. This one paragraph includes what is special about
your event. Go to www.meridiandowntown.com for examples. Approve your ad copy of the press release, via email.
Approve your ad copy of the poster, via email. Approve your ad copy of the web-site www.meridiandowntown.com. The Merry Meridian Event page will require a password and will
not be published until all event coordinators have approved the copy.
NOVEMBER.
Attend the press conference and pick up posters for distribution. Approve/Attend all scheduled media
appearances. Insure your media appearance mentions the information for all Merry Meridian Events can be
found at www.meridiandowntown.com.
The value of being a part of Merry Meridian includes the following and is coordinated by Meridian Main
Street on your behalf:
1. Television, Radio and Paper advertising.
Valued at $20,000.
2. 1000 Posters distributed that
lists your event. Valued at $500.00

Meridian Press Conference. Valued at $50-$100.00

5 media appearances scheduled to highlight your event with a total of 34 Merry Meridian media appearances that will direct
viewers/listeners to www.meridiandowntown.com and your event. 5.
Facebook updates, informing of your event from ticket sales through day of event.6. Preferred hotel rates for out
of town guest from Holiday Inn and Quality Inn. This also allows you to track the number and location of
guest you have from out of town.
The cost of being a part of Merry Meridian:
Meridian Main Street Member $100.00 per event
Non-Meridian Main Street Member $150.00
per event
