Welcome to Alliance for Downtown Meridian
Dear Stakeholder,

The Alliance is a 501C(6) and was formed in 2007 by business/property owners in the downtown area.  The Alliance includes: The Downtown Association, is an official member of Mississippi Main Street and performs economic development activities.  Periodically  we will keep you up to date on activities and revitalization efforts going on in downtown Meridian.  Downtown is the economic and cultural heart of Meridian.  Downtown Meridian is fast forging a new identity as the place to go for unique, high quality shopping, diverse culture arts presentations and family oriented events. 
Mission Statement
  
It is the mission of the Alliance for Downtown Meridian to design, implement, and oversee a coordinated plan for improvement and growth in the downtown that will attract and support desirable anchor businesses, and establish it as a regional center for arts and cultural events and education. The Alliance's plans, programs, and projects will foster downtown living; help develop progressive services that attract and sustain investment; and, encourage tourism in the downtown.

Support Your Local Businesses The Liberty Shop

The Liberty Shop is a speciality shop in downtown Meridian and offers a wide variety of clothing styles; juniors, contemporary, missy; along with all school uniforms. Come see Robbie Hales and her sales associations for all of your clothing needs.

The StitcheryMary Gipson; owner of the Stitchery, realized that Meridian was in dire need of something.  Fabric, yarn, and much more for the crafty at heart.  She opened a shop on 2334 Front Street; in February 2009.  Please swing by and see what she has to offer; if it is not there she can get it!

3 Foot BuildingSupport the Temple!

The Temple Theater was built in 1928 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.  The new owner; Roger Smith has a variety of concerts, stage performances and events happening weekly.  Contact the box office at 601.693.5353 for upcoming entertainment.
